SHIPPING & RETURNS
We are especially proud of the merchandise we offer, but understand there may be a reason to return or exchange an item on occasion. We do not however accept returns or refunds of special order or custom items. We don't not hold stock of most furniture, lighting and accessories therefore most pieces are special ordered. This allows us to extend discounts and our best prices possible to our customers. Should there be an opportunity for us to refund a special order item less a restocking fee (imposed by the vendor) we will always do our best to try. Please contact us at email@example.com to inquire about an item's eligibility.
Non-custom and non-special order items purchased on our website can be returned for a full refund as long as we receive the merchandise back no later than 14 days from the day you received your order. If you would like to return a non-custom or non-special order item, please contact us within 5 days of receipt of your item at firstname.lastname@example.org for return instructions.
ALL RETURNS REQUIRE A RA NUMBER (RETURN AUTHORIZATION). RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR ANY REFUNDS MADE WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING US TO GET AN RA.
Shipping charges are not refundable and will be deducted from your refund. Please note that if we provided Free Shipping, the refund amount will be less the amount of the original freight shipping cost (what we paid to get the item to you).
In the rare event that an item is received damaged, contact us within 3 days of receipt of the item at email@example.com or call the shop at (908) 273-3737 and we will do our absolute best to rectify the situation. We want you happy! If the item is available we will send a prompt replacement or provide a refund.

Shipping & Delivery
We strive to have all in-stock items shipped as quickly as possible. Transit times will vary depending on product and location.
Most in-stock items ship within 1-2 business days and will often arrive within three to five business days from the ship date. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by email. Items sent directly from our suppliers may take longer, and items ordered together may not arrive in the same box. Due to the custom nature of many of our items delivery times will vary. Estimated ship times are located on each custom product page. It is important to note that these are estimated shipping times and are subject to availability of products and/or manufacturer's availability. If a product you have ordered is out of stock or on backorder, we will contact you with a shipment date and you can decide to either keep the order as is, cancel the item or cancel the entire order. Occasionally issues arise that may lead to additional production time, such as our manufacturers experiencing a backup in production. If this is the case you will be alerted as soon as we are made aware that a problem exists. If you need to verify stock information and availability prior to placing your order, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some items require an additional shipping charge due to excess weight or special packaging requirements. If there is an additional shipping charge for an item, it will be noted on the product page as a "delivery surcharge". Other products may have a set or "fixed" price to ship that one item, and that ship price will be noted at checkout.
UPS, Fed Ex and USPS are used for Standard & Second day delivery.
SHIPPING TO HAWAII & ALASKA
Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska may incur additional charges beyond our standard delivery fees. Please contact email@example.com for further details regarding your order.
SECOND DAY SHIPPING
Two day express delivery is available only for items that we have in-stock. The cost is an additional $25.00 over standard shipping cost calculations for orders shipped to the 48 contiguous states. Orders must be received to us by 2:00 pm EST to be delivered within 2 business days. Second day express deliveries do not ship or deliver on weekends or holidays- only on standard business days. Second day express delivery may not be available for items drop shipped from our suppliers and artisans. However, we will make every effort possible to request that our suppliers accommodate your request.
Custom made furniture, bedding and lighting are not available for Second Day Delivery. Please contact A.HOME directly if you are interested in Second Day delivery for products that do not specify this as an option on product pages.
OVERNIGHT AND/OR SATURDAY DELIVERY
If you require either overnight or Saturday delivery for your order please contact us directly at (908) 273-3737 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests. We can verify if an item or items are all available for overnight or Saturday delivery as well as quote shipping charges for the order that apply.
DROP SHIP ITEMS
With just so many beautiful products offered, we cannot fit everything in our warehouse. Therefore many items are Drop ship items that are shipped directly from our manufacturers and artisans to your door. Second-day shipping may not be available for some items. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding what items are in stock or will be drop shipping to know when you will receive your order.
CONTACT US TO PURCHASE
We have yet to find a one-size-fits-all order and delivery option. Therefore, many of our custom and oversized furnishings feature a “contact us to purchase” prompt. Not only are we able to provide numerous custom options for our products not available online; but we are also able to provide the highest-level of service by answering any questions you may have about the myriad of choices we are delighted to offer to you. Through the “contact us to purchase” prompt we can also fine-tune the nuances of the order process and make any special arrangements for delivery.
We prefer to use only “White-Glove” delivery via selected carriers for delivery of our oversized and custom products in order to provide you with the most professional and reliable delivery experience and maintain the integrity of our quality products. We will retain and provide quotes for this White-Glove delivery service upon order placement.
WHITE-GLOVE IN-HOME DELIVERY FOR FREIGHT ITEMS
Upon delivery, our shippers will unpack, place these furnishings in the room of your choice (transport for up to 2 flights) and discard the packing materials for you. Assembly service is not included.

Most lighting ships between 1-3 weeks from the date of your order. Please allow another week for delivery
Our vendor’s stock is subject to availability. If any delays or back orders arise, we will notify you immediately.
ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES
Some of our items require additional charges to ensure they arrive at your home in safe and sound condition. Lighting, glass and other fragile items may need to be securely carted and packaged, and may require special handling fees. Any additional shipping charge above our standard shipping cost is noted on the product page as a "delivery surcharge".
Many of our products feature free shipping (within the 48 contiguous states only). If you order an item that offers free shipping in addition to one or more regular items, you will be charged only for the shipping costs for the regular shipping item(s). APO and FPO addresses may incur an additional charge.
If for some reason you would like to return an item that had free shipping, the total refunded amount will equal the item price minus a 10% deduction for shipping return costs. The only exception to this policy is if an item received is defective, in which case it will be replaced with no additional shipping fees. If you would like to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also has free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to the item being returned and the new item will ship for free. Custom-made, special-order items, some lighting, furniture and bedding are not returnable. Refer to our return policy for specifics.
Many orders over $199.99 qualify for free standard shipping. Premium shipping charges, freight shipping charges, and/or handling charges may still apply depending on the product purchased, its shipping destination, and the chosen shipping method.
FREE SHIPPING ON FREIGHT AND OVERSIZED ITEMS
Please Note: Some "free shipping" items may be sent via freight carrier by truck. In the case that the ship to address is not accessible by regular delivery truck, the customer will be responsible for all additional delivery charges such as ferry fees, etc. Please contact email@example.com AS SOON AS you place your order to make us aware of any special delivery requirements that must be taken for the item to reach the final destination. We are unable to be held responsible for delivery issues that may arise if we are not informed-before we place your order from our manufacturers- of any special delivery requirements that must be taken for the item to reach the final destination.
ORDER STATUS & TRACKING
When your order is processed by a member of our speciaized fulfillment team, a tracking number will be assigned to your package and you will receive an email notification that your package has been sent. The email will include the tracking number for reference. Please note that if you ordered several items, they may not all ship from the same location or ship at the same time. If this is the case, tracking numbers will be assigned to each individual shipment and you will receive notice and tracking numbers as each package is sent.
FREIGHT SHIPPING FOR OVERSIZE ITEMS
Furniture and large items often ship via freight carrier. Most carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Freight companies will contact you a few days prior to the delivery to schedule a delivery date and time frame (typically 2-4 hour blocks). For standard freight delivery our shippers deliver furniture to your driveway. White-glove in-home delivery is available if you would like the item placed inside the threshold of your home or in a particular room with all packing materials discarded. Freight items can be ONLY shipped within the 48 contiguous states.
If your scheduled appointment is missed, you will be charged a delivery trip fee. Please do not arrange for the item/items to be delivered when no one is home to receive them. Our suppliers take great care in packaging their goods for shipping, however, occasionally damages may occur in transit. Furniture items must be carefully inspected BEFORE you sign for the delivery. If the furniture happens to arrive with any defects DO NOT sign for the items. Contact us immediately while the trucking company is there so that we may discuss the best way to handle the situation. If you are not able to get in contact with us, please either refuse the delivery or note the damages and status of the packaging materials on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery. A. HOME will be unable to assist you in the replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedures are not followed.
If you need to reschedule the delivery with our carrier, please contact them as soon as possible so as not to incur any charges for missed delivery appointments. We are unable to assist in making and/or rearranging delivery appointments.
As noted on each of the products, some furniture is only available to ship Standard. Furniture assembly is not included, but may be available if it is arranged before order is placed. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org before placing your order should you need special delivery arrangements or furniture assembly. We will help with these arrangements if possible (for a fee depending on complexity.)
In the case that the ship to address is not accessible by regular delivery truck, the customer will be responsible for all additional delivery charges such as ferry fees, etc. Please contact email@example.com to make us aware of any special delivery requirements that must be communicated to the delivery service for the item to reach the final destination.
IF DAMAGES OCCUR DURING FREIGHT DELIVERY
While we do our absolute best to ensure your items arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition; there may be situations that are beyond our control. Although our freight carriers handle your pieces with great care, it is important to understand that damages do occur during transit. If your piece arrives damaged, the freight company reserves the right to have the piece repaired and brought back to the manufacturer's standards at their expense. They may send the piece to a furniture medic or return it to the manufacturer for a repair/rebuild. If the freight carrier determines the piece cannot be repaired, you have the right to be reimbursed for your purchase or have another piece expedited to you at no additional charge and shipped as soon as reasonably possible.
FREIGHT SHIPPING NOTES AND DELIVERY TIMES
You can find a reasonable estimate of the delivery time specified on every product page. It is important to note that this is an estimated shipping time and cannot be guaranteed by A. HOME. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control that may lead to additional production time, such as our manufacturers experiencing a backup in production. If this is the case you will be alerted as soon as we are made aware that any problem exists.
It is important to note that once a piece leaves our manufacturer's facility, the remaining shipping time is beyond our control. A. HOME functions as a liaison to ensure merchandise is transported safely to you, and although this process most often proceeds smoothly, delays and damages may be caused by the freight company. We will always do our absolute best to assist in getting your goods to you in a timely manner and in good condition and will notify you immediately if we are made aware of any expected delays or problems. It is essential that you inspect all freight shipped items very carefully and DO NOT sign for your piece if you suspect any damage.
DELIVERY TO POST OFFICE BOXES
Our deliveries are sent by UPS or freight carrier. Post Office box delivery is not available.
DELIVERY TO APO AND FPO ADDRESSES
Orders shipped to APO or FPO addresses will ship via Parcel Post. Oversized items such as furniture, rugs, lighting are not able to be shipped via parcel post to APO and FPO addresses, therefore cannot be processed. Any eligible free ship items under 2lbs will ship for free. All orders over 2lbs may incur additional shipping charges. Additional shipping charges up to $15 will automatically be charged to your credit card. If the additional shipping charges are over $15, you will be contacted to approve these shipping charges.
At this time we do not offer international shipping or shipping to Canada from our website. If you are interested in delivery to Canada, arrangements can be made for orders over $500. Please contact us for more information as additional shipping charges, taxes and duties would apply. Note that "free shipping" items do not ship for free outside the 48 contiguous states.
